Drill Collars

 

DPU's drill collars are made of self-designed premium alloy steel bar and pipe materials, and heat treated by continuous gas furnace to meet the mechanical requirements in API Specs.   In addition, to meet customers' special order, PMC also provide PM80 collars with impact power greater than 80 Joule, and PM110H collars with impact power greater than 110 Joule. DPU supplier utilizes double end trepanner to machine drill collars, which could provide collars with consistently even and balanced wall thickness.

Customer Options

1. Spiral Machining

PMC can produce spiral collars according to customer specifications, provided the specifications meet intensity requirements of the standards.  

2、Elevator, Slip Recess or Slip Holes

Unless otherwise specified, those are machined according to API RP7G recommendation.

4、Cold Rolling of Thread Roots

5、Make In & Break Out

6、 Hardbanding DPU (QHD) fabricate customer specified hardbanding materials. Besides DPU standard hardbanding material HB9000, we are one of the certified applicators of ANRC 100XT、200XT、300XT, etc.

7、Thread Surface Process

All threads will be treated with phoscoating process to improve wearness and prevent galling. Copperize process is available upon customer requests.
